Lutheran Church at Nobby

The Nobby Holy Trinity Lutheran Church was built in 1941, amalgamated from other churches in the surrounding areas.

With the growing popularity of cars, it was no longer necessary to have more churches spread out to make them accessible by horse.

The St Peter’s Lutheran Church of Mount Kent, which is referred to as the Original Lutheran Church Site Brown Sign link, and St Peter’s Lutheran Church of Headington Hill Brown Sign link were moved to Nobby where it was closer to the town.

As materials were difficult to get hold of during the war years, parts of the Headington Hill and Mount Kent were re-purposed in the new building.

The new church was made larger than the churches it replaced, catering for the population over a larger area.

The church has services most Sundays, with a Parish service on the 5th Sunday of the month. The 1st Sunday is at 10.30am, 2nd Sunday is at 8.30am, 3rd Sunday is at 11.00am, and the 4th Sunday is at 10.30am.
