Ron Beaton Park is one of many public recreation parks along the foreshore of Hervey Bay.
The unobstructed view of the bay is a distinct feature of Rob Beaton Park. Many of the parks on the Hervey Bay Foreshore Trail having bushland between it and the beach.
The Hervey Bay Surf Lifesaving Club is next to the park with a patrolled beach section for safer swimming.
