West Coast Wilderness Railway is a heritage and wilderness rail experience along 35 kilometres of railway line. Operating original steam locomotives and heritage Drewry diesel locomotives from the 1950s, there are several station locations the West Coast Wilderness Railway can be found.
The Regatta Point Station is where the diesel locomotives operate, from the port where the materials from the mine were brought to. The railway journey includes stops with additional experiences to the rail journey itself.
Teepookana And The King
Leaving Regatta Point Station, the train journey takes 2.5 hours. Following along the King River, enter deep into the rainforest with a stop at Lower Landing. A short flora walk includes local honey tasting, made from endemic flower species of the rainforest.
Queenstown Station
The Queenstown Station
is at the other end of the railway line, used for transporting material from the mines to the port. Additional railway journeys commence from Queenstown Station.
