Tunnel Vision is part of a six-part art project for Coonalpyn. It is located next to the Coonalpyn Art Mural, another part of the project, to reinvigorate the small town of Coonalpyn by creating a reason for passing tourists to stop.
We didn’t take a photo within the tunnel but we have the side of the entrance with the brown sign showing.
From the Coonalpyn Arts Trail brochure, the following is said of Tunnel Re-vision:
After leading the first railway underpass art project 20 years
previously, Barbary O’Brien returned to lead the Arts Group
and Coonalpyn Primary School students in restoration and
reimagining of the existing Tunnel Vision murals. The 36
existing murals, some of which were badly in need of repair,
were restored and 12 second generation murals added. Stroll
through the tunnel to the dog exercise park to take a look at
this fascinating outdoor gallery.
