When visiting the Daintree Rainforest, one of the first stops needs to be the Daintree Discovery Centre. It is a visitor information centre, however, it is more an attraction in itself.
Wander through the rainforest canopy on the Daintree Rainforest Skywalk, around 11 metres above the forest floor, and a canopy tower to get up high into the canopy. Elevated boardwalks add to the skywalk with themed circuits, such as the Cassowary Circuit, Bush Tucker Trail, and Jurassic Forest. There are four hundred metres of walks to explore the rainforest.
Keep an eye out for the ancient 500-year old strangler fig tree.
