Queensland Moto Park (QMP) is a 745-hectare motocross park at Coulson in the Wyaralong area, near Boonah. It is operated by Motorcycling Queensland who helped develop the park.
The park has been provided by the Queensland Government, the South-East Queensland Council of Mayors, and Motorcycling Queensland. It offers a safe and legal location to ride in a controlled environment.
The tracks are suitable for a wide range of riders from kids through to MX and Enduro competitors. The park primarily caters for two wheel bikes but there are some parts accessible with quad bikes and side-car motocross bikes.
The Pee Wee track lets the youngest of junior riders to enjoy the park and develop their bike skills, with two other tracks for junior riders. On weekends, a fullsize MX track is closed from older riders to allow junior riders to try out a bigger track.
For the senior riders, there are four motocross tracks with varying jumps and obstacles where you can develop your skills. The tracks are competition standard and built to Motorcycling Australia Standards.
For more open riding, there are 50 kilometres of trails through deep gullies, along creek bids, and the top of ridgelines offing views of the Scenic Rim.
For those wanting the most adventurous, hit the freestyle compound. Freestyle motocross is where riders perform backflips and other tricks while the bike is mid-air. The freestyle compound is only available to riders with a current MA licence with freestyle accreditation, or be supervised by an MA accredited FMX coach.
Camping is a simple $5 per person per night in the unpowered camping areas. Firewood is available for purchase to enjoy a campfire in the evenings. An amenities block offers toilets and showers, with $2 coin for hot water.
A playground in the camping area provides somewhere for the kids to release some energy when the are not on the tracks.
The park is open every day during school holidays. At other times, the park is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday when track repair and maintenance is undertaken.
