With a 99% success rate, particularly in the cooler months, you are sure to see a crocodile. Seeing a crocodile isn’t guaranteed, as they say, it is a completely natural experience, not a zoo. The summer months can result without a croc sighting, mostly during high tides, but you can come again for free if you miss out on a crocodile sighting.
The boat’s Croc Cam helps passengers see wildlife the guide has spotted, shown magnified on a screen for those on board to see.
The 1-hour cruises run at 9.30am, 10.45am, 11.45am, 2.30am, and 3.30pm. The 2-hour cruises are once on selected days. Check the Solar Whisper website for booking times.
The parking area where Solar Whisper Cruises leaves from has good facilities to wait for your cruise or to stop for a break. There are toilets as well as lots of information about the Daintree.
