Located just off the highway heading into Port Douglas, the Wildlife Habitat is also the Wet Tropics Visitor Information Centre.
Experience Australian wildlife in an award-winning and eco-certified sanctuary for wildlife. The habitat contains five recreated natural environments, including Wetlands, Rainforest, Savannah, Nocturnal, and Woodlands.

Rainforestation
Rainforestation Nature Park 
combines Indigenous culture, Australian wildlife, and rainforest of the Wet Tropics. Established in 1974, the park is on 100 acres of World Heritage Rainforest.
Australian Butterfly Sanctuary
The Australian Butterfly Sanctuary is the largest butterfly flight aviary and exhibit in the Southern Hemisphere. Started in 1987, the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary won the Guinness World Record for the largest butterfly farm in the world.
Cairns Zoom and Wildlife Dome
Contained in a wildlife park, Cairns Dome is a ropes course with over 65 challenges, 3 ziplines, power jump, and an external viewing walkway.
