Queens Beach in Bowen, Queensland is a stunning stretch of coastline. It has calm waters and a wide sandy shore, perfect for a long walk, beachcombing, or simply enjoying the scenery at Queens Bay.

At the eastern end is a rocky headland and the rocks sort of form a smaller beach section that is more protected. We spent a while looking around exploring the rocks, including three rock pillars that come out of the beach’s shoreline. From here, the view of the full extent of Queens Beach can be appreciated.

Queens Beach stretches all the way westward. This destination has been marked at the eastern end because that is where we spent most of our time here and loved it. Further west along Queens Beach there are picnic tables on grass areas with access to the beach.

Bowen is a place we wish we had more time to explore. The eastern end of Queens Beach is also where the Bowen Parkrun
starts, another reason to stay a little longer – if you are into Parkrun like we are.
