Queens Beach South on the Redcliffe Peninsula is a section of beach on Moreton Bay just north of Redcliffe Jetty
on Redcliffe Peninsula.
One of three beach destinations in Redcliffe using the name Queens Beach, it is separated from Queens Beach
to the north by a rock wall jetty that is a popular spot for fishing. The other beach is further north and called Queens Beach North.
The beach is not particularly sandy, with a lot of rock in the sand and a lot of the common red volcanic rock base a little under the sand. Better swimming opportunities can be had at Redcliffe Jetty
or the far better Queens Beach North
.
The main access to Queens Beach South is from Stevens St, where the brown sign for it is found. A well-shaded picnic table sits under a tree a few metres south from Stevens St.

You can also access Queens Beach South from Shield St. It is here where the rock wall jetty is found and there is a large open grass area with a picnic table. The picnic table here is open in the sun which is nice during the winter months.
As with all of the beach locations on the Redcliffe Peninsula, the Moreton Bay foreshore path runs along the length of the beach, a path that starts at Newport and continues all the way to Pelican Park
in Clontarf and onto the bridge.
