Tugun Beach is one of a few on the Gold Coast south of Currumbin along a stretch of beaches to Coolangatta.
Tugun is just below Currumbin Beach with a great surf club serving fresh coffee in the morning and patrolling the beach for safe swimming.
The same as most of the beaches along here, there is a grassy recreational strip running along the length of the beach with a protected vegetation area between them.
The grass area has great facilities for a family day out with picnic tables, free BBQs, children’s playground and water fountains. Toilets and outdoor showers to wash off the sand and salt water are also provided.
The surf life saving club has a bistro and café at the back if you don’t want to bring your own food and a selection of places only one street back from pizza to Thai and more.
