Known as the Big Apple in Stanthorpe, it is in Thulimbah just north of Stanthorpe, promoting Vincenzo’s Cafe. Looking like a Red Delicious, the Big Apple is outside of Vincenzo’s Cafe, a popular cafe and deli with locally-sourced produce, local wines and gifts.

Vincenzo’s suddenly closed in May 2018, but the Big Apple remained available to stop for some snaps and selfies. At the time of visiting in 2019, it had already been closed for more than 12 months. The hope was someone will take it over and preserve the Big Apple to keep it on the map as one of Australia’s Big Things. That happened, and not only has the Big Apple been preserved, the Vincenzo’s name also remains. They don’t have their own line of liquors anymore, but you can try a selection of locally produced wines.
We stopped at Vincenzo’s in 2025 on our way to Deepwater for a pub camp weekend. We had already eaten but a sit-down coffee and a bag of local apples to go was enjoyed by the family.
