Finding the Big Frog in Yungaburra was a retrospective experience. Taking photos for the Yungaburra Historic Village brown sign, I inadvertently captured the Big Frog. It wasn’t until I was looking for big frogs in Queensland that I realised there is another I wasn’t aware of – and I had been to it.
The Big Frog sits outside a group of shops known as the Pitstop, a service station, take-away, and bottleshop. Checking our photos, there is the green frog, admittedly looking a little worn and sad.
It has since been restored and cleaned up around it, as can be seen on with the Big Frog captured on Google Street View 
in 2022 (over 12 months after we were there).
The other Big Frogs in Queensland are the Big Frog in Laidley 
, and the other sits on the side of the Big Gumboot in Tully .
