The Big Golf Ball sits proudly high next to the Hervey Bay Golf Driving Range. It has a driving range, mini golf, pro shop, and professional golf lessons.
It is a two for the price of one deal as there are two Big Golf Balls. One is at the entrance of Hervey Bay Golf Driving Range, the other is next to the main road (which you cannot stop at). The second golf ball more safely be seen from the driving range itself, although, you can’t get close to it.
I took the main photo from across vacant land over the main road. It is quite a distance away so it is best to go the big golf ball at entrance of the driving range or from within the range itself.

The driving range has 30 undercover bays, grass tee-off areas, and practice chipping area. You can hire clubs or bring your own. A bucket of balls is reasonable in the $8 to $15 range.
The mini golf course has 18 holes and costs $8 for a round, including the putter and golf ball.
