The Big Beer Can in Launceston is a symbol of a beer from one of the two completing Tasmanian breweries, The Boag’s Draught.
A typical can of beer is around 375ml, sometimes a little less. This big can of liquid amber is 110,000,000ml, or 110,000 litres. That’s enough for over 293 thousand regular cans of beer.
While it is viewable from the street, the big beer can is at the back of the property and possibly not accessible out of hours.
