The Clontarf Visitor Information Centre was at the southern end of the Redcliffe Peninsula. The centre was found shortly after crossing the bridge along the waterfront where you will often find locals and tourists enjoying the Moreton bayside outdoors.
The tourist information centre on the Redcliffe Peninsula is Redcliffe Visitor Information Centre located at Redcliffe Jetty.
Of the two visitor information centres, Clontarf had a larger building. The building was purposely built and designed in a shape to resemble a pelican (although I never thought of it looking like a pelican myself).
Located at Pelican Park
, the volunteers at the centre used to provide a photo opportunity with the local pelican population, with pelican feeding every day. The pelican population decreased noticeably after the lighting poles above the bridge were changed to prevent pelicans from roosting on them.
Address: Hornibrook Esplanade, Clontarf, Queensland.
