Policeman’s Hill is the hill used during the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival. At the bottom of the hill is the Goomeri Police Station.
The Goomeri Pumpkin Festival started in June 1997 with 71 pumpkin rollers. It is an annual event held on the last Sunday in May and has grown with over 600 pumpkin rollers in 2009.
Expanding on the pumpkin rolling, other events include Pumpkin Bowls, Decorated Pumpkins, Giant Pumpkin competition, Pumpkin Pull, Pumpkin Pageant, Pumpkin Quilt Challenge, Decorated Tea Towel Competition and the Pumpkin Power Shot Put.

Across from Policeman’s Hill is an information centre with a heritage display and a rest area with BBQs and covered tables and seating. There is plenty of room to run around, a skate ramp and basketball court is across the back street from the park.
