A beautiful privately owned heritage home on the outskirts of Goulburn NSW where visitors can enjoy a personally guided tour through 157 years of living Australian history in the unique setting of a lived in family home. Built in 1857, Garroorigang is the private home of the Hume family, collateral descendants of explorer Hamilton Hume.
Life first as an Inn on the road to the gold fields, then for twenty years a private boarding school for the “Sons of Gentlemen” and a gracious private home since 1868 has left Garroorigang filled with an extraordinary and rare collection of historical items and family memorabilia.
