From Mareeba Visitor Information Centre, turn right onto the main road (Byrnes St) heading north. Follow for around 2.5km and turn right into Lloyd St at the roundabout with the brown sign for Historical Marker. Follow Lloyd St to the next roundabout and turn left into Walsh St. Follow Walsh St for 300m, turning left into Eccles St. Follow Eccles St to the end and turn left. The Historical Marker is a short way on the right with another brown sign next to it.

If coming into Mareeba from the north along the Mulligan Hwy, after crossing the bridge, continue another 400m and turn left into Lloyd St at the roundabout with the brown sign for Historical Marker. Follow Lloyd St to the next roundabout and turn left into Walsh St. Follow Walsh St for 300m, turning left into Eccles St. Follow Eccles St to the end and turn left. The Historical Marker is a short way on the right with another brown sign next to it.
