From New England Hwy about 6km south of Cooyar, turn into Oakey Cooyar Rd. Follow Oakey Cooyar Rd for 7.7km and turn right into Narko Nutgrove Rd at the brown sign. Continue on Narko Nutgrove Rd for 2.7km with the Muntapa Tunnel Park on the left. The parking at the start of the cutting is about 300m further on and is on the left. From Oakey, head up the Oakey Cooyar Rd to head towards Cooyar, crossing the railway to the north. Follow Oakey Cooyar Rd for 48.1km, and turn left into Narko Nutgrove Rd at the brown sign. Continue on Narko Nutgrove Rd for 2.7km with the Muntapa Tunnel Park on the left. The parking at the start of the cutting is about 300m further on and is on the left.
