Old Play Shed in Jackson has details of the town’s history and pays tribute to the pioneers who helped establish the rural community, featuring the local history of Jackson.
The play shed has been relocated from its original site in 2002, after the school closed in 1983. The ‘Tribute to Pioneers’ display was officially opened by local Federal MP Bruce Scott on 10 November 2012.
The shed contains a picnic table style of seating with information about the township of Jackson and its history.
There are two brown signs for the old play shed. On the highway, an older brown sign is for Tribute To Pioneers. It is a small sign and easy to miss while travelling at highway speeds. At the shed itself, there is another brown sign, Old Play Shed
