Kia Ora Lookout is just outside of Gloucester, and offers panoramic views of the district. View over Gloucester and Barrington Valley, and Barrington Tops in the distance.
The hill has telecommunication towers, taking advantage of the high position. There isn’t much in the way of facilities, but there is a sheltered table with bench seats, and a rubbish bin. There isn’t a lot of room up there, so it may not be suitable if you are towing a large caravan.

Kia Ora Lookout offers a wonderful view. A pleasant drive from Gloucester.
As noted in the review, there is a steep section leading to the lookout and limited turn around space at the top making it unsuitable for those towing a caravan.

Turn into Bowman Farm Road along Thunderbolts Way to the north of Gloucester. After crossing the bridge, turn right into Kia Ora Road. The road bends to the left, then over the rise turn hard left into Kia Ora Hill Road. This goes up a steep road to the top of the lookout.
