Point Lookout (Pt Lookout) overlooks the Mary River in Maryborough, Queensland. A viewing platform added in 2018 extends out from the high banks of the river.
The viewing point looks downstream towards the port of Maryborough and more importantly, upstream of the Mary River for over 2.5km.
Point Lookout was used by the pioneers of the old township of Maryborough between 1843 and 1856 to keep watch for supply ships and signal their arrival.

There is a small grass area with a cairn with a plaque. There is not much else at the lookout but it is a nice view up the river and worth stopping for a look.
The parking area has only one parking spot and an additional disabled parking spot. It is a quiet street so there should be no problems getting a park if there is someone else there already.
