Templin Historical Village Museum is comprised of numerous buildings showcasing local memorabilia and artifacts. The collection covers farming history, war memorabilia, cameras, 1900s fashion, medical memorabilia, and more.
The village once the Templin State School, closing in 1970 when the number of enrollments declined. Ownership was handed over to Boonah Shire Council and taken care of by the local historical society.
The original school building and playshed have been added to over the years, including a slub hut from the 1870s occupied by a family of nine, and a church from Cannon Creek built in the 1910s for 75 pounds. A dairy features an early separator and butter boxes.
Some large farming items in the collection are outside the buildings, such as trackers, log snigs, and a windmill.
Food is not available at the museum, however, you can bring your own and use their outside tables and chairs. No food or drinks are to be taken inside the buildings.
Templin Historical Village Museum was not visited as it was closed at the time of arrival in Templin.
