The Timber Museum in Wondai is part of the Wondai Visitor Information Centre. Inside is a timber display depicting early life in the timber industry, with audio information you can play as you walk along the display. It starts with a camp with a rudimentary tent and stretchers, a campfire with camp ovens and tea billy, and a lumber cart.
On the opposite wall is a display of different timbers, and what they are typically used for, such as construction, or furniture.

Outside there is an old log, a forest red gum from Monto. The log is 9.9 metres, has a 1.6 metre diameter, and weighs 23.46 tonnes. My Jeep is next to is so you can get an idea on the size of it.
On the opposite side of the information centre is a smaller parking area with toilets, and table and chairs.
It is an easy walk across to the Wondai Heritage Museum
in the next street.
