Scotts Point in Woody Point is a rocky outcrop along the eastern shores of the Redcliffe Peninsula, with a park high on the tops of the point and another down close to the level of the water.
Scotts Point is generally locally known to be at the Scotts Point Bathing Pavilion at the far southern end of Margate Beach with the fish and chip shop across the road. This is where most go with a parking area next to the pavilion and parking along the street towards the north of it.
Scotts Point Progress Park is just to the south with a path leading along the foreshore and along the road up the hill. The point is further south from the park but it is occupied by residential properties. Parking is along the street next to the park.
At the pavilion, there are sheltered picnic tables and free BBQs. Shady trees offer some lovely spots to picnic from with the beach immediately in front. The fish and chip shop across the road makes for an effortless picnic lunch or snack while admiring the view across Moreton Bay. A water fountain is available at the park.

Scotts Point Progress Park is often less crowded, sometimes occupied by people clearly looking for a quieter spot to relax at. It too has picnic tables and free BBQs. From its higher position, it has a different view across Moreton Bay towards Moreton Island.

There are no toilets at Scotts Point Progress Park, although there is a path down to the pavilion not too far away. If disabled access is required, then the park area near the pavilion may be more suitable. There is no water fountain but there is a tap near the BBQs with drinkable water.
A walking and bike path heads north from Scotts Point, passing through Margate Beach, Suttons Beach and the Settlement Cove ![]()
