A well-appointed park with free camping in Theodore. There are clean toilets, a good playground, and picnic tables with free BBQs for use.
I didn’t see signage with restrictions on the type of camping but it was only caravans and RVs staying there. We stopped for a look around rather than staying, so we didn’t seek to clarify if we could or couldn’t.

The park sits between the Dawson River and Castle Creek, which joins Dawson River at the far end of the park. This is the Junction the park is named after. A unique feature is the Castle Creek flows in a direction opposite to the Dawson. Normally, a creek would flow into a larger stream or river in a similar direction. It is believed the Dawson River used to flow in the opposite direction as it does today. If flowing in the opposite direction, Castle Creek would have joined the river in the normal way.
