Judd’s Lagoon, located 5km to the southeast of Yuleba is a favourite pastime location for locals and visitors alike. Here, you can relax amongst the tranquil wetlands, spot some native fauna and flora and perhaps even wet a line.
There were some colourful parrots around, but they were too quick to fly away before we got the cameras out. It was quite dry when we were there but it is meant to be a good fishing spot with Yellowbelly, Jewfish, Cod, and European Carp. Waterlilies flower from December through to May.
There are eco-friendly long-drop toilets available, concrete picnic tables, and a wood BBQ. Rubbish bins are also there.
The camp sites are not marked, but there is lots of space to find somewhere to set up camp at this free camp location.
