From Chinchilla Visitor Information Centre, head west (towards Miles) and turn right at the lights towards Wondai. take the first right into Park St. Follow Park St for 4km, becoming Chinchilla Wondai Rd. Turn left into Monmouth Rd at the brown sign for Old Man Lagoon and another sign for Tourist Drive 5.

From turning into Monmouth Rd off Chinchilla Wondai Rd, follow Monmouth Rd for 1.5km. The road sweeps to the left, but instead, turn right into Dahlers Rd, an easy 2wd gravel road from hereon. Follow Dahlers Rd for 300m, then bending to the left, keep following the main gravel road for another 3.6km with four more bends. At the end, there is another brown sign at Holmes Rd. Turn right and follow Holmes Rd for around 800m and Old Man Lagoon will be on your right.
