Grotto, or The Grotto, is a deep water pool near Wyndham at the base of a rocky ravine with spectacular waterfalls in the wet season.
The water hole in Western Australia is extremely deep with the depth of the water supposedly to be over 100 metres. The water level is about 70 metres down from the surface rock.

There are 144 steps to reach the popular year-round swimming hole at the bottom of the Grotto.
There was no water running which would look fantastic in the wet season. The initial steps looked very unsafe for us to navigate with no handrails to assist so we decided to walk near the edge and look into it from there.
The Grotto is an important area for local aboriginal people. Rock art sites are in the area.
