From Kyogle to the southern entrance, turn into Anzac Dr with the brown sign for Toonumbar Dam at the Kyogle Visitor Information Centre and follow for 500m. Turn right at another brown sign to continue on Anzac Dr for another 2.5km, then leaving the township, the road becomes Afterlee Rd and follow for about 19.5km. Turn right to continue on Afterlee Rd for another 5km. At the brown sign for Toonumbar National Park, turn right into Murray Scrub Rd, and follow for 4.8km. This brings you to the junction to head towards Iron Pot Rest Area and Murray Scrub Walk, or towards the lookouts.
From Kyogle to the northern entrance, head north along Summerland Way for about 39km, passing through Wiangaree, and turn left into Coxs Rd. Coxs Rd is a dirt road and fairly steep. It isn't 4wd but care is needed with lower vehicles and may not be suitable in wet weather. Follow Coxs Rd for about 4.6km to reach the entrance of Toonumbar National Park.
From Woodenbong to the northern entrance, head east on Mount Lindesay Rd towards Brisbane and Kyogle and after 3.9km turn right into Summerland Way towards Kyogle. Follow Summerland Way for 15.2km and turn right into Coxs Rd. Coxs Rd is a dirt road and fairly steep. It isn't 4wd but care is needed with lower vehicles and may not be suitable in wet weather. Follow Coxs Rd for about 4.6km to reach the entrance of Toonumbar National Park.
