This was the second brown sign we found in Tropical North Queensland that marks a section of road rather than a destination. We found the Rainforest Meets Reef sign on Alexander Drive while following the Cassowary Tourist Drive. The section of road is between Bingle Bay and Mission Beach.
Unlike the brown sign, Lady Wilson Drive near Millaa Millaa, this sign has an easy-to-understand significance (without extensive research). The section of road has two world heritage areas on either side of it. The Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics.
The location marked on the map is also the start of a walk to Bicton Hill Lookout. The walk starts opposite the parking area and takes around 1 hour for the return walk to the top and back.
