A short but stunning loop that packs in dramatic granite landscapes, gold rush history, and sweeping views over the Woolshed Valley.
The short drive is popular for walking and cycling.
- One Tree Hill – was named for the single mature red stringy bark tree that survived the miners’ need for timber.
- The Powder Magazine – built to hold gunpowder for mining operations. It is listed by the National Trust.
- Granite Rocks – granite weathered into strange and unusual shapes, some with names such as Pumpkin Rock and the Sphinx.
- The Cascades – a series of waterfalls on Spring Creek.
The Spring Creek Bridge is closed (as of September 2025), so the drive can only be accessed as a return walk from either end.
