Coral Coast Cottage is a non-accredited Visitor Information Centre in Moore Park Beach, north of Bundaberg. Coral Coast Cottage is also known as The Pink House.
The information centre offers information around the local area and showcases local arts and crafts. It is a community centre for the locals.
The Pink House is located close to the centre of Moore Park Beach’s tourist centre with the holiday park entry across the road, the Moore Park Surf Life Saving club at the beach near it, and the Bowls Club close by where you can get a club meal and a drink from.
The park in the middle of them all has free BBQs and sheltered picnic table areas. There is a small covered playground as well as a skate park and dirt BMX track. The park has a Q150 plaque with information about the area displayed on it.
The area was originally known as North Coast or Moore Park. Isaac Moore of Tantitha Station, make the land available to the Gooburrum Shire Council. It was in 1960 when the Surveyors Office officially named it Moore Park.
Prior to World War 1, the area was little more than a few fishing shacks. As a weekend beach spot, the area became increasingly popular with beachgoers. In the 1950s, the Moore Park Surf Lifesaving Club was formed.
Normally, we display a list of nearby brown signs but there are none around Moore Park Beach.
