Buderim Forest Park is a small rainforest reserve along Martins Creek, with a boardwalk starting from Harry’s Lane at the northern end.
Harry’s Lane is the easiest entrance to the park with a boardwalk following Martins Creek upstream, much better access for wheelchairs and strollers. The boardwalk only goes so far before it turns into a bush path which gets gradually rougher.

The boardwalk crosses over the creek a number of times giving a view up or down the creek. The vegetation changes from tall palms to dense eucalyptus forest.
There are a few spots to stop for photos, so while the walk to the falls is easy achieved within 30 minutes, allow extra time to stop and take in the scenery.

After the boardwalk, the path begins to enter the gully as it heads closer to Serenity Falls. The path is not difficult, but it does get rougher the further you go and has a scramble up a rock ledge and crossing the creek not long before reaching the falls.
Serenity Falls has a wonderful waterhole for a swim, and there is more than one waterhole on the way that is inviting to cool off in.

The southern entrance to Buderim Forest Park
is shorter but it is also steeper. From the falls, you can head towards the entrance by crossing the arch bridge above the falls and loop back on a circuit walk. Head all the way out to the southern entrance if you want to have a look at the Edna Walling Memorial Garden
.
Back at Harrys Lane, there are some picnic tables and a free BBQ to make for a great picnic lunch. There is lots of open green space ideal for kicking a ball around or other games to play in an open field.

Harry’s on Buderim is right near the entrance if you prefer some fine dining in a 120-year-old homestead. It is a restaurant so if you are looking for a cafe style lunch then you are better to head to Buderim village and maybe check out the Pioneer Cottage while you are there.
We entered from the southern entrance and walked all the way through to Harrys Lane. The next time we come here we’ll probably park at Harrys Lane as overall it is an easier walk. Heading back the other way we were ready for a dip in the waterhole again once we got back to the car.
