Hermannsburg is an Aboriginal settlement, famous for the home of artist Albert Namatjira. The historic settlement is a National Trust listed precinct.
The restored buildings are a series of German-style whitewashed buildings, constructed during the establishment of the mission in Hermannsburg, in 1877. The buildings include a church, school, and a various houses and outbuildings.
