Built in 1857, Garroorigang is the private home of the Hume family, collateral descendants of explorer Hamilton Hume.
Life first as an Inn on the road to the gold fields, then for twenty years a private boarding school for the “Sons of Gentlemen” and a gracious private home since 1868 has left Garroorigang filled with an extraordinary and rare collection of historical items and family memorabilia.

Turn into Braidwood Road at the brown sign, from Sloane St in town. Garroorigang Historic Home is 1.8kms on the left.
Cost: Adults $12.00, Children (12-18) $5.00, Family with small children $25.00, Groups (10 or more) $10.00.
Hours: 9.30am-12.30pm, 1.30pm-4.30pm, closed Christmas Day, Good Friday, ANZAC Day. Call ahead (02 4822 1912) as being a family home, there will be occasions when there are commitments which require us to close the home to casual visitors
