Plus

Plus is available to the Support, Traveller, and Hunter memberships, removing most of the ads shown in the app and website. Some non-intrusive ads may be shown, such as supporters, sponsors of places, accommodation referrals. All general adverts are removed.

Free Options

The website and app can be used for free. Some features require a membership so they won’t be available or not function fully as a Guest (using without being logged in with a membership). Other features may also be restricted or limited, but you can still find and follow the places

Membership Names

The Brown Sign membership names have been chosen to represent the level of dedication towards visiting the places around Australia, following the brown signs (and the big things). This is the spirit, meaning and purpose of them… and a bit of fun.

Wanderer

Passing through the web or the app but hasn’t joined the journey yet.

Tourist

Visits places, casually or incidentally. Following a lead here and there, rather than committed to following the brown signs.

Explorer

Seeks out interesting things, with curiosity and interest, following a brown sign here or there.

Traveller

Moves with purpose, plans routes, and collects experiences. Travels near and far to see what needs to be seen.

Adventurer

Pursues the challenge, plans routes as a guide, seeks novelty, difficulty, remoteness. Every brown sign is an adventure.

Hunter

The plan is just the beginning, highly targeted and goal-driven, the hunt for completion that never ends. Spots brown signs, even when they are not there.
