The boardwalk in Caloundra is a feature along Bulock Beach, one of many beaches defining Caloundra. The boardwalk starts from Tay Avenue, down from the main street through Caloundra. It follows the waterfront along Bulcock Beach with the walkway continuing to Happy Vally, a playground and BBQ area.
Bulcock Beach is unique amongst the other beaches in that it is along the Bribie Island Passage, instead of being an ocean-front beach. As the main outlet to the ocean, Bulcock Beach was subject to strong tidal flow, however, this changed since the break in Bribie Island in 2022.
The break in the island, now renamed to North Bribie Island and South Bribie Island, is where the main flow is, making the flow along Bulcock Beach much slower. This makes it a great calm water beach. It has also expanded the beach sand available at Bulcock Beach.

The boarded part of the boardwalk is quite short, less than 100 metres in length. The restaurant and shopping section along the walkway continues for another 250 metres before reaching the Happy Valley playground and BBQ area.
Fishing is permitted from the boardwalk, sitting over the outside corner of a deep channel. The features of the channel may change now that the main outlet of the passage has changed.
