The Gatton and District Historical Society offers a glimpse into the heritage of Queensland’s Lockyer Valley. Located on 2.5 hectares, the historical village has 18 buildings, each representing different aspects of Lockyer Valley’s past.
Buildings and features include a 1890s house, country dance hall, a Blenheim rural automatic telephone exchange, and a variety of machinery.
The museum isn’t regularly open on many days, only Monday and Tuesday. Being a Sunday, we were not able to go to the museum, but you can see some of the buildings from the walkway around Lake Apex
